A touching song
For the first time, here, I am attempting a translation.A meaningful Telugu song from "Jeevana Tarangaalu" which was released in 1973.The song was picturized when a poor mother was being taken to the last rites. Her husband already died and son was a thief and had gone out of the home.Amidst the song he joins and shoulders his mother's dead body without knowing it. The song was a super hit with the touching meaning of the life. This lyric was penned by Acharya Atreya.Singer Ghantasala.
You bear ten months your children, and you bear all the troubles along your life
Now, are you going alone to the burials with having no one of your own..?
Life is just like the ripples in the sea
And life is like a chess playing by The God
Who is who in this game..
And how far all these so called relations...!
Somebody comes out of your womb
And somebody comes to lift your yoke when you die
Somebody comes to light your pyre
But who will come with you after that..?
Some unknown affection bind you
And want you to pay the debt
Death can not wait ,for there is no husband with you
This log (here human body) must be burnt by those logs
The pyre shall not be off, with the tears flown
These flames could touch the soul there in the heaven..!
