Yet another Travel book

Dasari Amarendra garu,a well known figure in terms of travelogues in Telugu contemporary literature.He has many a book of various genres like story,essay and criticism under his belt.Always keeps himself busy with some travel adventure and never failed to get it into the print for his passionate readers.

This time, he penned a book "Konni kalalu,Oka swapnam" in Telugu and the release of the book has taken place a few days back at Kothagudem where I have been invited by a prominent story teller Siramsetty Kantha Rao garu.

Well,the book was all about his South India tour, done by Activa 2006 model scooter,spanned almost 1900 k.m.,with covering Andhra,Karnataka,Tamil nadu and Kerala states.He described his experiences encountered through out the journey. 

International Women's day

Puri is not only a renowned pilgrim place but also a cradle of well known sand artists.Mr.Manas Sahoo,here building a sand art on the golden beach  on the eve of International women's day.Prominence of women has been carved out and the slogan depicts the essence of the work.Backdrop upholds the human activity along with the waves of Bay of Bengal.Some 20 tonnes of sand is used for this and which has taken seven hours to complete it.

Sambalpur saree and other handi crafts exhibition

Handi crafts exhibition was on in the Toshali grounds of Bhubaneswar.It was happened in the month of December (2017) last week. Motivated by none other than myself  to be there while roaming in Bhubaneswar.Stalls came from many states of our country. 

The prime attraction was showcasing the way how the Sambalpur ikat sarees and other related fabrics being made at the production places.Lot of leaves,mulberry insects and other things were there for the purpose of demonstration,of course textiles can also be seen.Some people were having clicks of the same.Visitors gathered in large numbers here and there to purchase and  getting seen over there.

This was the welcome arch through which visitors entered the place of stalls.Selfies and photos were common phenomena.There were cultural activities all along the days of exhibition.All age groups turned up here and one kind of festival ambiance prevailed with junk food outlets to satiate the taste buds of people.

A Rare White Snake

A rare white snake was spotted today in the forest nearby Bhadrachalam,In the part of survey of wild life details , the forest department personnel have been started their search and this white cobra was seen by them.They clicked it from a close distance.They said that It was playing with hood spreading high towards the Sun.Both black spots on the hood can be seen vividly in the picture.

Bhubaneswar

These two pics have been taken when I was in Bhubaneswar.The top one depicts the images of deities of Puri.It was fixed in a bus belonging to the tourism department.

And here is the street leads to the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar.The shrine appearing wayside maybe different one from that,actually my intention was to grab the street activity.

Kinnerasani Wild life sanctuary

Kinnerasani is the well known and most sought after place in the state of Telengana, for picnic goers and wild life lovers.The name denotes the tributary  of surrounding area ,flows and merges in the Godavari river.Exotic birds,deer and other wild life to be seen here.It sprawls almost some hundreds of acres.Tourists as well as school children are always be seen with having fun,not to say about holidays.

Breeze gushing through green leaves.Towering trees house various birds,a big water reservoir was also there from which electricity can be produced by due process.Hillocks stand in and beyond the water front.And make the landscape more watch worthy. The location falls in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.Almost 250 k.m. from Hyderabad and close to Bhadrachalam,the pilgrim town.

Well connected with buses and trains.Boat cruise is the added attraction in the recent time.Except rainy season all other months are advisable to visit the place.Both adults and children could enjoy in the lap of nature,after Telengana got statehood,things seem went faster in the matter of face lifting by allocating adequate funds,that change can be witnessed.

Why don't you give a try next time...!Sure to have a life time experience..!
