ABC Wednesday

Yelerupadu, an obscure village by the side of River Godavari. That is not so famous for anything but we can see paddy fields like any other village. In the picture the river was focused at the time of sunset.

A person who forgot himself

This person photographed in the picture (with legs crossed) looked not so sane.Yes,guessed right. He has been suffering from some mental problems.I got acquainted  with him when I was  on the way.He was stuttering when he started talking a little. With the help of  locals and friends, tried to open a conversation with him.He said that his name was Gopal Chand. He was not able to recall his native place or state. He knew only Hindi. But his pronunciation is not clear to catch.
He remains always calm and take rest under the tree.Collects his alms from surrounding people. His only activity is gathering waste papers, cloths, utensils or any items lying on the road.Gopal chand collected almost 12 bags of such items. He answered that that they were money and nothing else.Of course,he said it on asking at least ten times.
He does no harm or mess.Even he talks very less.People said that he came to this village almost one month back.Due to serene ambiance and climate,he seems picking up his health.Who knows his back ground or  life experience that led him to this pathetic condition.Anyway,a human being is to be treated as a human being.  (Location: Nandigama padu,Nelli paka mandal,E.G.Dt,A.P.)

A Pilgrim turned a writers hub

Antarvedi,a picturesque pilgrim place located in the district of East Godavari,A.P.,renowned for its beautiful landscapes along with River Godavari. Here, the presiding deity is Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.Tirunallu or  the annual celebrations of the location is quite known all over for its pomp and religious fervor.Devotees used to throng there in large number.

Last sunday,November 23,Antarvedi has become a venue for a different celebration.Poets,Writers and lovers of Literature gathered there to interact among them. There were many events like book release,Poetry recital, literary discussions,Prize distributions and so on.All guests were served with delicious food and pleasantries. All this was organised by a Facebook group,Sahitee seva, devoted for Telugu literature.

In fact,I had to be there but abstained from it due to some unavoidable errands. My heartfelt congrats for its organizers Kancharla Subba Naidu garu,Dr.Katti manda Pratap garu,Rvss Srinivas garu and all other facebook freinds.Let the fraternity of the letters continue this good tradition.

Our World Tuesday

Sometimes unruly growth seems it's own order.Trees with its branches of wide spreading remind the set-up of  neurons in the brain.Got it in a forest.Have you ever felt it ..!

Alampur Temple tableau won First prize

A Marvelous attempt..! Just a couple of days back It happened as a happiest event for the people of newly carved out Telengana state. The tableau represented from the the department of Telangana state tourism and culture for Mysore Dussera festivities bagged first prize. That sounds incredible and a good sign all over indeed. The interesting feature is a proud historical temple of Alampur's Jogulamba, the consort of Brahmeswara depicted on the tableau.Unfortunately Alampur temple did not get its due recognition though which is a spectacular architectural wonder constructed during the 7th century. With winning in the Mysore Dussera celebrations, once again the name of Alampur temple came up.Thanks to Sri Rallabandi Kavita Prasad,Director,Tourism and Culture department.

Alampur ,the temple town, located in the district of Mahabubnagar is 200 k.m.away from Hyderabad. In fact, there are nine temples in Alampur.Believed to be built by Badami Chalukyas.Still, the art and sculpture on the temples seemed intact though hundreds of years passed away.Alampur is considered as one of the 51 Saktipeethas.Surprisingly  the gopuram of the temple and sculpture on the walls has resemblances with Utkala craftmanship.
