My Haridwar Trip
Haridwar ...not only for it's pilgrim status,I wanted to be there for the reasons unknown.Maybe out of some obsession as an ancient place for human activity. The Dev bhoomi, which is named after for its proximity to Chardham.I started from Delhi by bus.Almost It took three and half hour to reach there. In the wee hours, many people were going to nearby Ganga river to take a holy dip.No hotel room booking,no prior planning at all.So I know I have to face some odd things enough for my decision.I am used to it in many of my journeys,Travelling like a vagabond without preparation is also one of my likes. We can experience real India in the sort of it.Learnt enjoying my difficulties in such a way.
Taking showers is impossible for me without having toilet business first. So went to a public toilet ..there was only one for all that pilgrims who came by buses , trucks and other vehicles. The queue seemed like a Hanuman's tail.My God...when would I get my turn..!But no way...what to do..?
That's one of the most dreadful place I ever got in my life.No body cares queue.some people came late and took away tumblers forcibly to get their work fast. Here in the Dev bhoomi also no one cares no one.No calmness. No peace only Dandaagiri.
Almost all vehicles which carried people have loud speakers.Sky is their limit in the matter of volume.I am sure the heart patients would reach Lord Shiva without much effort because of that sound pollution. To my surprise, I came to know that majority of the people finished their toilet business just beside the shops, buses and nearby the vehicle stand location.
The filthy smell and the nasty scene looked like something which has no comparison on this earth. When our people learn how to respect a holy place...is this the way a most renowned place to maintain...?

Jantar Mantar
When I visited New Delhi last month, happened to be at Jantar mantar.Really a suitable name for that place. It was just like a market place with the people who thronged there to partake different dharnas, protests and likes of it.At some point,we will not be able to understand what the speakers were talking about ,with such a terrific noise. It is considered to be the right place to raise their voice so that get noticed by the top brass of the country.

Taj Mahal
At last, fulfilled my dream being at Taj mahal,a master piece of Mughal architecture. The white marble mausoleum located at Agra is still attracting people from all corners of the world.Islamic,Ottoman Turkish,Persian and Indian architecture blended here in this great construction.Emperor Shajahan employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen to create it in the memory of his Persian princess Mumtaj Begum.
The minarates display the penchant of the designer for symmetry. The marble dome which surmounted the tomb is spectacular.Decarative spires on the walls started from its base.We feel one sort of meditative mood in front of Taj mahal. From any angle, the beauty of the grand construction never seem to be diminished.

At Fathepur Sikri
Recently happen to get visited Fathepur Sikri, The grandeur of Mughal architecture.Emperor Akbar built this after his victories over Chittor and Ranathambore. The walled city constructed in 16 th centuary. As Akbar had a great respect towards Sufi saint Shaik Salim Chisti, his tomb was also constructed inside the fort on a special platform with a beautiful designs of marble stone art.
Sellers at the entrance..no problem with them..!
The huge construction took 15 years to get completed. It comprises of royal palaces, harem, courts,a mosque, private quarters and other ones.It was named as Fatehabad earlier. In Arabic fateh means victory. This is the finest example of the blend of Hindu,Muslim and Jain architecture. At the very entrance of the fort the huge gumbaz looked like a lion's head.
Just a small part inside...!
Almost 400 years passed by.But it's grandeur is still there to allure every human being. One can not describe in words. You must have to see the meaning of extravaganza in red stone here. The royal chamber of Akbar,Pancha mahal, tomb of Saint Salim Chisti,Buland darwaja and what not..!
The white construction is Sufi saint Shaik Salim Chisti's Tomb.. wonderful designs in marbles..!
Where ever you go in the fort ,you will be followed by a gang of children who sells booklets and other literature without fail. They sometimes irritate us with their unstoppable propaganda in order to sell their things.Even inside the fort too.
