A Quaint Building

This old construction in a new avatar with paintings.Built in the time of Britishers rule in India.Location is called Bhadrachalam and which served as Division Revenue office.Mostly used rock cuts in walls and spacious enough for people attendance for various works.High roof,windows and arch cut shape along with greenery made it as something beautiful and unique.

Recalled older days with the quaint construction.Still, sturdy enough coping with time.Hope you enjoyed the site.

A Song for destitutes

Sasi Sri Koti is a quite known singer.Be it devotional,patriotic,folk or any other in nature get filled with soul without any effort.Right from my college days , I have been used to listen her songs penned by several literary and musical giants like Annamacharya,Tyagaraja and Purandaradasa etc.,She herself authored many songs apart from her prime love music.On some occasions,wanted her to give an interview but which never get materialized so far,  perhaps due to her modesty to speak out her achievements.

As far as my knowledge is concerned,her rendition is a household familiar through Radio,T.V. and stage performance.And she did her Ph.D in music from Kakatiya University.Imparting lessons in music as a faculty.Recently,the video presented here reached me through a swap from Whatsap and intrigued myself to post it in youtube for you all.

The people unfortunate by fate were there in the group of listeners and hope you understand the condition of them in a home.Some bhajan must have been going on and affinity for singing evidently seen among the people.A heartwarming sight in brief.I wish I was there to appreciate her.

Festival time

The biennial festival of Sri Mutyalamma Goddess commenced yesterday in the Dummugudem village of Telangana state.All this fete lasts 9 days with specific pujas each day.This has been in the line of the last several decades,Each day after, having performed required rituals, follows cultural programs like Hari kadha,Burra kadha,Orchestra based songs,Mimicry and so on.Above is the brochure of details of ongoing programs.It also carried donors' details and other day to day  events.All the nine days free meal facility is there for devotees.Will be ended on 21 st of this month.

Jatara or fare is on with vendors arrived from far off places.The people belonged to the place who had gone away on their livelihoods never forget to contribute to this happening, which only comes once for every two years.Festive look adorned all through the days with influx of devotees.This place is almost 30 k.m. away from Bhadrachalam.

Cocoon story

It's a story behind a story.We all know silk very well.And also we know how it got acquired from the silk worm.Various photos depicting different stages are here gotten while visiting a farm recently.The Picture equals a thousand words.Let them tell you something through these ones.Silk industry worth almost $200 to $500 million each year.

Night has its own beauty and when lighting pierces through it ,certain combination come out with showing things that were not to be seen till then.This picture was taken when I visited a village, Charla.Night has fallen and street lights were on,hardly any activity there , obsessed to have the moment of serenity.

Beyond  dry grass and plants ,there was a herd of goats grazing all over.Clicked at Gannavaram colony road,Charla mandal,Telangana state.We got it when we're going into the woods for seeing some prehistoric signs in there hills appearing far beyond.

Our World Tuesday

The 11 day bound festival of Mukkoti Ekadasi at Bhadrachalam came to a cessation,Yestreen Teppotsavam or boat ride session performed and for which many devotees thronged here from far away places.Every year these rituals would take place in the month of  Dhanumasam,conventionally in other words December month ending to January early days.The above celebration is called Uttara dwaradarsanam, the presiding deity Lord Rama and his consort Seeta enters from the north gate for devotees.This is the most paramount day with penultimate session.This has taken place in the early hours of morning.It was quite chilling this day anyway.
