Do you know about this drink..?

The fresh leaves of  a Tamarind tree look very beautiful in the season.Konda Reddys' (a tribe in Andhra pradesh) use this "chinta chiguru" to make an intoxicated drink. It's purely done  by evaporative process. It's very cheap in price but not inferior to the scotch in any aspect of quality.Got this feedback from my close quarters since it is not available in the market.

Book Donation

Yesterday, I happened to visit the residence of Telugu veteran writer Malyasri ji.He was busy with packing books to send them somewhere. He told me that he was donating all these books from his collection to two libraries, which are running by two voluntary organisations namely Spoorti Granthalayam,Tadipatri and Sneha sahiti Granthalayam,Godavar khani of Andhra pradesh.

I thought that this kind act deserves a posting in my blog so that my visitors could know a man of letters here with.Malyasri is his psydonym.Original name is Chinturi Mallayya.Born in Mogallapalli,a remote village in Charla mandal,Bhadrachalam division. He served as a village development officer in the state Govt.of A.P. and retired almost more than a decade back.

He penned hundreds of short stories, poems, playlets and associated with number of literary organisations in the state. A student of Telugu University had done M.Phil on the writings of Malyasri.

Dhauli, where The Kaling war Fought...!

Have seen Dhauli photos many a time, But being there is a completely different for me...! Before coming in to Blogging world,Visited many important places but did not take pics as I was careless.Right now, I started understanding how a fresh photo worth for a photo blogger like me.Camera became my most important friend now to grab the world ,of which keep learning unending lessons.

Dhauli hill is presumed to be the area where the Kalinga war was fought. It is 8 k.m away from Bhubaneswar and just beside the Daya river. On the top of the hill,a dazzling white peace pagoda has been built by Japan shangha and the kalinga nippon Buddha sangha in 1970.

There are Buddha statues and other related pictures in the pagoda.Four sides four different statues of Buddha are beautifully erected. Many Ashoka's rock edicts excavated around this place.

Pagoda Front side view....!
Some peace lovers should have kept flowers there..!
Daya river plains from Dhauli hill, It is said to have turned a blood flow when kalinga war took place..!
Depicting some story from the life of  The Great Master.
It could be too...!

Our World Tuesday

Mukteswara Temple is one of the ancient temples in Bhubaneswar. Also called Kedareswar temple by local people. It is on the right side of the road leading to Puri from Bhubaneswar. This is a complex of temples. We can see many small temples in precinct.Built with redsand stone.Outer decoration of the temple  has it's own beauty in Odisha.Command it's own signature in carving unique style.Stood aloof from Northern and Southern style.

Head part not seen for the statue of deity...might have lost in some invasion or out of weak condition of  it.

There is a pond behind main temple which is believed to have some medicinal value.
