  4. I have read about Ahimsa silk which doesn't require any cruelty for the cocoons of silkworms.

  6. I saw this process in motion during one of our many trips to Turkey.
The ladies who were spinning the cocoons worked st an incredible speed.
we then went on to watcch some more ladies makingsilk rugs.I would have
loved to have bought one but we had already purchased a beautiful pure
wool Turkish rug, which still holds pride of place in the sitting room.
    Best wishes,
    Di.
