Seeta Eliya Where Hanuman encountered Seeta Devi

Epic Ramayana is known to everyone by the virtue of reading or Listening.Sundara Kanda, a part of it describes how Rakshasa king Ravana abducted her to avenge the deed of his sister done by Rama's brother. That's how seeta had been captivated and brought into Lanka, his kingdom. There is a place called seeta Eliya where she was kept under a Ashoka tree.In the part of my Sri Lanka tour,I have visited the place and got some clicks.

First of all,all the ambiance was very beautiful with lush green trees and hillocks.Cool atmosphere, fluffy clouds, balming breeze and sprawling gardens added another beauty to the location.A temple was built by local Indian diaspora. An epic is epic.it could be of imagination or a real story framed in such a way or something else, but which had taken people by it's own aura.Or influence.

This place is almost 170 k.m. from Colombo and would take five and half hours journey by bus.We also encounter exotic nature all along the journey.A clear example for how rich Sri Lanka in luxurious forests and tea plantations. And there were medium and luxurious hotels located around here.Waterfalls are every where all long the travel.Going back to Epic details and being in exuberant natural lap that's what we feel about the place of Seeta Eliya. And of course which is 5 k.m. away from Nuwara Eliya,a much known town.
