The Ox sans Yoke

The Ox that we are seeing in the picture is called Gangireddu (Telugu), it was an age long tradition in the villages during harvest season, particular caste people were used to come to farmers' houses to fetch alms and other things. The Ox was adorned with colorful cloths along with other decorations. It obeys the instructions of it's master in saluting house holders and children get playful and follow the animal. The days are changing.Hardly we see the sight of it at present.Almost all these have become Yesteryear pleasantries.

Wanderlust

What we get out of our wanderlust...Everything that will be useful and beautiful, here this picture seen was taken during my journey of Rayagada,Odisha. The sluggish hillocks with clouds seem as if it was the part of the distant sky.The flowing river with greenery on its banks adding further beauty to the landscape,by having rounds to the varied places we could see such kind of fascinating pictures. They imprint in our minds, and lenses capture for permanent remembrance.
