Megalithics and More

Friends, I have given some details about megalithic structures in my last posts,of course photos too. Here I am  presenting some more pictures of that same site but different ones.See such a flat surface on the hill of 500 meters  height.

On this flat surface the humans built such kind of rock structures to live in.We can never see any kind of human existence here now...but wild animals are there.

I am not in this picture..because I was taking the camera work. Here you can see Naren,Subrahmanyam,Shyam and Mohan swami Naidu. We altogether trekked all the way.
We should appreciate Mohan...being a kid,who endured the troublesome of this task. By the way, I must say some words about my friend Naren. He influenced  me a lot in all of my pursuits like this adventures.
He was with his son Mohan at his residence of Charla.

In Search of Megalithic Structures

Myself and my friends Naren,Subrahmanyam and  Mohan Swamy Naidu set out early in the morning to reach the hillocks of suraveedu, especially in search of Megalithic structures.
We have gone up to 500 meters in the hillocks.Dead calm all around.Forest is very wild and rough. But Its beauty is awesome. One should feel it,that's all I can say..!
We have surpassed all the ups and downs.See the bushes ...how thick they are..!Wow..great trekking too..!
At last we have found megalithic structures...not one or two...it seems some hundreds....! How those monsters of humans lifted these awesome weights to build their nests...some thousands of years back..!
The rock plates can not be lifted by even some fifty strong men of  present day surely..!But how those ones succeeded in it.In every age, science existed on its own degree..!!!
Kudos to the megalithic man...Creation has its own program to evolve it.....Human being just an instrument in the hands of universal power.
Nature is the first and ultimate cradle of  the  human being. He learns from it..Each and everything.
Human being now getting lots of comforts...In some sense he is no way different from a beast...I got that point after seeing these amazing site.

An exciting Trekking

This is a megalithic structure found on the hills of Suraveedu. This could have built between 3000-1200 B.C.,according to my assumption. We can find some hundreds of structures on this entire hill.we have taken almost 2 hours to trek this hill which is of about 500 meters in height. These are not seemed like burials but they might have  used it for living. How many phases The man could have  surpassed in the gigantic volume of time...to have present luxuries of life..! Naren ,Subra ,Swamy Naidu accompanied me in this task.

Erotic picture on a Temple

Quite a few days back,Visited a temple which is of hundreds of years old.Santana venugopala swamy temple located at Iravendi village. The temple priest Sri.Nanduri Prasadacharyulusaid that the temple was constructed way back in around 1200 A.D.Mandapam became weak and some parts of it loosen.Anyway withstanding all these hundreds of years is amazing. It is because of sturdy rock construction.

This temple is in a remote area of Burgam pahad constituency. So It had been surviving all through the odds of time.Mandapam and temple built of solid rock plates.Very small number of people used to visit this temple. That's why surroundings of temple seemed very peaceful.

One more Interesting feature is Erotic pictures engraved on the wall of the temple. The postures are no short of any  today's porno.I don't understand why  this kind of sculpture is seen on the temple walls.I think in those times temples played a role of educational centers. May be,education about sex was not considered as a taboo.Otherwise, how can these sculpture be placed on the sacred temple walls..?

My first visit to Chennai

Here, I want to share a bunch of joyful and thrilling moments in my life.In 90's,I was very much of enthusiasm about roaming across India. Then I was unmarried and blessed with a  lot of free time.So I wanted to take a challenge for myself that I should travel in India all alone. This desire grew in  me after I met a  Swiss gentleman Mr.Markus Zeller who traveled all along from Switzerland to my home town,Bhadrachalam.I will write that in detail  later in a separate post.

What state should I start with..?In fact,I never go out of my home state till then.Anyhow,I determined to start with Tamil nadu. There was a reason for that..I was usually buying "kalkandu"Tamil weekly in those days.Be not mistaken me that  I am proficient in Tamil.I was  just trying to learn Tamil through self-taught method. This affection on Tamil happend after reading Tirukkural translations in Telugu.I presented my speech for  15 minutes on Tiruvalluvar in All India Radio also.I am very fond of Kural couplets even till now.

I have written a letter to Mr.Lena Tamil vanan, the editor of kalkandu magazine in this connection. To my surprise,he responded me very quickly that I was welcome to his office too..!My happiness found no boundaries.I started my journey with flying colours.Caught charminar express at khammam at around 11 p.m. in the night.

I reached chennai (then madras) and visited  many places.Mr.Lena Tamil vanan presented me his published book with his own signature. Here the pics of it. I found no problem in Tamilnadu and felt more than my home.I discuss it in my next post.

A Mysterious Lake

This Kamuni cheruvu or kamuni lake seems a sort of Mysterious one in the midst of hills. The lake has hills its three sides.Located in the deep of forest of Suraveedu gram panchayat of Venkatapuram mandal, khammam dist.Even in the time of horrible summer days, this lake will not be in short of water.Water comes through the  hills which are covered three sides of the lake.Water is abundant through out the year.

Though these surroundings are now no trace of human activity,There must be some kind of  human life in the past.Because there is a shakti temple in this deep forest...We wanted to go there ..but our guide said it takes further two hours walking as there is no other way to go by vehicle. It was about to sunset. And no doubt we may meet some bears without any second thought. This place is famous for them.

Once upon a time all this area under the dynasty of Kakatiya kings. It is quite common here to find Shiva lingams when digging for the purpose of wells or some construction.Suraveedu people told me that this lake was created by some Gods..that's why no short of water happens for it.

Another amazing thing about this is its water keep oozing from the land at the distance of some 200 meters away... slowly water come up and it forms like small streams...you can't see any pipe like instrument to flow water from lake to some distant place where we find water-flow like streams.Water here is very cool and crystal clear.

Next time I will try to go to that temple in that forest...and post with photos if possible.People said temple almost dilapidated ...debris like things are there. It got me much more interested.o.kay..let's wait and see..!
